Considered the world's leading viola soloist, Emanuel traveled the world sharing his music. During World War II, he performed for Franklin D. Roosevelt at the White House. He is one of two violist to have given a solo recital in Carnegie Hall. Parallel to his music, he was an accomplished artist.
In 1993, after a serious accident, Emanuel left music and focused on his art. His paintings were predominately of musicians, eyes closed, as they become one with the music. The critics, on the other hand, eyes wide open with critical expressions. He was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony and Brigham Young University, among others.
Emanuel's triptych is available for purchase. Contact us for detail.
